A Registered NDIS Provider in Runcorn, Brisbane
Queensland Therapy Center is a registered NDIS provider. Registered providers have passed an independent audit against the NDIS Practice Standards and been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, and they are listed on the public NDIS Provider Register.
Because we are registered, we can work with participants whose plans are self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. Participants whose plans are NDIA-managed can only use registered providers.
We can guide you through the NDIS access process, help you use your funding for therapy, and provide assessments and progress reports for plan reviews. Our fees follow the NDIS price limits, and clients without NDIS funding are welcome at the same rates.
How to Get Started
- 1. Get in touch: Call, email or book online. You don't need a referral. Support coordinators and health professionals can use our referral form.
- 2. First appointment: We start with an assessment of your or your child's needs and goals, and talk through what we find.
- 3. Therapy and review: We agree a plan, run regular sessions, and review progress with you and your support network.

NDIS Therapy FAQs
What is a registered NDIS provider?+
A registered NDIS provider has passed an independent audit against the NDIS Practice Standards and a suitability check, and has been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Registered providers are listed on the public NDIS Provider Register, so you can check a provider's registration yourself. Queensland Therapy Center is a registered NDIS provider. Registration matters most if your plan is NDIA-managed, because participants with NDIA-managed funding can only use registered providers.
What is the difference between registered and unregistered NDIS providers?+
Both registered and unregistered providers must follow the NDIS Code of Conduct. The difference is that registered providers have also passed an independent audit against the NDIS Practice Standards and been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. Participants with self-managed or plan-managed funding can use either kind of provider, while participants with NDIA-managed funding can only use registered providers. Because we are registered, we can work with participants whose plans are managed in any of the three ways.
Can I use Queensland Therapy Center if my plan is self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed?+
Yes. As a registered NDIS provider, we work with participants whose plans are self-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. Therapy is usually paid for from the Capacity Building budget, under Improved Daily Living, and our fees follow the NDIS price limits. If you're not sure how your plan is managed or what it covers, your support coordinator or plan manager can check, and you're welcome to call us to talk it through before your first session.
Can I use more than one NDIS provider, or change providers?+
Yes. NDIS participants choose the providers they work with, can use more than one provider for different supports, and can change providers at any time. For example, you might see us for speech pathology and occupational therapy while another provider delivers other supports in your plan. If you're moving to us from another provider, let them know and check any notice period in your service agreement with them, and we'll help you get started.
Do I need a referral to get started?+
No. You can book with us directly by phone, email or our contact form. Support coordinators, GPs, educators and other professionals can refer someone through our referral form, which lets them send the client's details and the reason for the referral. Either way, we'll talk with you about your goals and how your plan is managed, then book a first appointment, which starts with an assessment of your or your child's needs.
Do you see children and adults?+
Yes. We see clients from age 2 to 65, from toddlers and school-aged children to teenagers and adults. Each service page explains who that service supports: speech pathology, occupational therapy, positive behaviour support, autism support, school readiness and community support workers. When someone uses more than one of our services, our team works together on shared goals. If you're not sure which service fits, get in touch and we'll talk it through.
Are you open on weekends?+
Yes. Our clinic at Suite A/829 Beenleigh Rd, Runcorn, is open 7 days, from 8:30am to 4:30pm, and weekend appointments suit school-aged children who can't come during the week. We also visit homes, schools and kindies across Brisbane's southside, including Logan, Springwood and Calamvale, so sessions can fit around school, work and family routines. Get in touch to check availability for the day and time that suits you.
How much does therapy cost?+
Our fees follow the NDIS price limits for therapy, which are set for each financial year. Clients without NDIS funding are welcome and pay the same rates. The total cost depends on the service, how often you have sessions and how long they run, which we agree with you after the first assessment. For NDIS participants, sessions are claimed from your plan's funding. Contact us before you book and we'll tell you the current rate and what it includes.
Can you help with my NDIS application or plan review?+
Yes. Our team can guide you through the NDIS access process and explain what evidence supports an application. For current participants, we provide assessments and progress reports that document goals and progress for NDIS plan reviews. If a plan review is coming up, talk to us early so reports are ready in time. We also help you understand how to use your funding for speech pathology, occupational therapy, behaviour support and community support.
Which suburbs do you visit?+
Our clinic is at Suite A/829 Beenleigh Rd, Runcorn. Our team also visits homes, schools and kindies across Brisbane's southside, including Logan, Underwood, Springwood, Woodridge, Inala, Stretton, Calamvale, Browns Plains and Acacia Ridge. Seeing clients where they live, learn and play helps us work on skills in real situations and with the people who support them every day. If you live nearby but outside these suburbs, get in touch and we'll let you know what we can offer.
