Community Support Worker

Practical and emotional support to help you develop life skills, build independence, and engage with your community.

What is a Community Support Worker?

A community and support worker supports people with disability and mental health challenges, providing both practical and emotional support. They help people develop life skills and encourage participation in community activities.

Support workers also help people navigate issues that may be difficult to face alone — such as housing, employment, or attending appointments and social groups.

Because they develop a strong understanding of their client's needs, support workers can also act as advocates and liaise with other professionals on your behalf.
